留学生/Special Graduate Program

 

Welcome to G-OCEANS/LA MER Programs!

 We are pleased to announce that our new special program “Global-Okinawa Climate change & Ecosystems: Advanced Next-generation Sciences (G-OCEANS) Program” under the MEXT scholarship is now receiving applicants for the next academic year starting in October 2025.
 Meanwhile, the application call for “the Leadership for ASEAN Marine Environments and Resources (LA MER) Program” is open at the same time to self-funded students including Japanese prospects, commencing from the upcoming spring semester in April 2025.
 Both programs, which are organized jointly by the Fields of Biosciences and Environmental Sciences, offer an opportunity for graduate study to prospective students by conducting all courses in the English language. For the detailed procedures in each program, please refer to the following information.
 

MEXT Scholarship Program (G-OCEANS Program)

 
 
Qualification
Nationality:
Open to Foreign Nationals recognized under the MEXT program
Language: Should be fluent in English
Age Limit: Under 35 years of age as of April 1, 2025
Academic Year: Starts in October 1st, 2025

Non-Scholarship Program (LA MER Program)

 
 
Qualification
Nationality:
Open to Foreign Nationals and Japanese (Not limited to the applicants from ASEAN member states)
Language: Should be fluent in English
Academic Year: Starts in April 1st, 2025
